


Strategic Vendor Relationships
The Office of the CIO is responsible for creating and maintaining partnerships with technology product and service vendors to support University requirements. The benefits of these relationships with Harvard's Strategic Partners include advantageous contract and pricing terms, advance notice on product development, and executive information exchanges on technology evolution and strategies.
The University contacts are responsible for creating an effective vendor presence at Harvard from both a business and technical perspective. These individuals understand the vendor contract and presence on campus, sponsor periodic forums to review performance, and develop recommendations on product and pricing. For most vendor partners, there is a business contact and a technical contact.
