WELCOME TO UCIO ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

Under the direction of Dan Moriarty, the Harvard University Chief Information Officer, IT managers and staff from the Office of the University CIO (UCIO) participate in planning, architecture and standards development, and other collaborative activities to better support an effective, technology-enabled Central Administration. UCIO Administrative Services provides the administrative infrastructure supporting the Facilities, Financial, and Human Resource needs of this organization.  These groups focus on improving processes for providing staff with critical communications; providing strategic financial support and guidance; developing and publishing policies to assist staff with day-to-day activities; and ensuring the efficient use of space across all groups.

Facilities Services engages in activities such as department-wide space planning, facilities project management, emergency management, life/safety compliance, disaster recovery, documentation of facilities infrastructure, and asset management.

Financial Services provides support for all finance and accounting activities within the UCIO organization.  In support of these groups, Financial Services provides a number of services including financial planning, budgeting, asset management, inventory control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, cash management, forecasting, and reporting.

Human Resources provides leadership and support to management and staff in the areas of employment, training and career development, labor and employee relations, compensation, organization and job design, performance management, and staff communications.
